Out of these four places, Pulneys produces the most coffee with a total annual output of more than 7600 Metric Tonnes.
To create a distinct symbol of community identity,Tamilians were the first to adopt coffee as their choice of beverage over tea. Gradually the coffee culture spread across other South Indian communities too.
